Economic growth creates more profit for business. As a result the stock price increases. Now the company has more capital to hire employees. More jobs are created. Prices rise quickly and things become more expensive. This happens when people wants to buy more than shops and factories can supply.

With the Brazilian economy growing rapidly this widens the gap between the poor and rich. With the distribution of economic welfare going down, the results are likely to be Inflation. As such rapid growth is unstable and will have risk of major losses. This will then further put a majority of the population in poverty. The top 1 percent will gain more profit by exploiting economies of scale and the government is likely to be able to maintain growth and fall into recession with the lack of public funding (taxes).

There are both positive and negative effects for Brazilian businesses when the economy is growing quickly. Generally, when the economy grows, the poverty in the country can start to decrease, so therefore businesses are able to get more customers. This then will increase the potential revenue and profits for the business. The investment in infrastructure promotes tourism leading to more opportunities for local businesses. The fast economic growth will raise the incomes of people, allowing them to spend. However, the fast economic growth can lead to inflation, where there will be high demands for goods and services causing the Brazilian currency to decrease in value. Another negative effect is that as the entire Brazilian market is growing there will be high amounts of competition between industries and businesses to generate the most profit and earn the highest market share.

The recent investment in the infrastructure and agricultural industry is sure to cause economic growth in Brazil. Economic Growth is the increase in production and sales of good in a particular market. The benefits to us, includes increased production, which enables us to have more sales, thereby increasing profits. These profits can be re-invested into my business to give it an edge in competition. As the whole market's economy has improved, competition will increase drastically, which means I will have to think of new ideas and ways to get customer attention. This can be done using sales promotion ventures like BOGOF, free gifts and personal repair. The chances of getting the resources needed for production at a lower rate is very high, as resources are also abundant, so average price per unit goes down. This can decrease the cost in production, which increases profits and can help in growing the business. However, this can also decrease the price that I can place for the products, as costs are lower for production.
All in all, Brazil's economic growth has both positives and negatives, but for entrepreneurs, it is more of a positive change.

A fast growing economy can attract investors and bring hot money flows into the country. This can benefit the Brazilian businesses as they could get higher capital in order to finance expansions & research for coffee and sugarcane production. This in turn could increase their productive capacity and raise the GDP in the long run. A rise in the GDP suggests a greater GDP per head, keeping birth rate and death rate the same. This means that the standard of living increases so people would be able to afford more goods and services, allowing businesses to sell more and increase their revenue. If businesses are able to produce more, exports can increase. This allows the business to create value via becoming well-known in the international market and become accessible to customers all over the world. Diversifying into international markets reduces the risk of business failure incase the domestic market begins to perform badly (recession) and it expands the lifecycle of products. An increase in exports could also improve the balance of payments position. The fast growth of the economy may also bring in emigration of skilled workers into Brazil as they might expect better job opportunities. For a business owner, he/she would be able to take advantage of this improved workforce and use it as intellectual capital within the business in the form of higher output, fewer mistakes and better use of resources. However, the economy may also attract large MNCs that could potentially threaten existing Brazilian businesses. Small business owners may be unable to compete with such large international companies as they may not have the same brand image. People may choose to buy coffee from a popular global brand rather than home-grown Brazilian coffee. The small business may also not be able to take advantage of economies of scale so prices would be higher than that of its competitors which can result in loss of sales/fall in profit. Additionally, the rapid growth of the economy can create demand-pull inflation where the resources are insufficient to satisfy the growing wants. This causes the real value of money to fall so households and businesses would be adversely impacted.
