This course has been quite a joy during the initial three weeks thus far. Coming into the course I was a little unsure of what it would entail and was slightly intimated by the title. However, this is becoming quite a favorite! The course work so far has been thought provoking and has brought in a new element into our research studies. Having the opportunity to explore and develop research on a tech focused learning tool has spiced things up and made this course really enjoyable! The personal reflections are great and the discussion questions have been very instructional and useful.

During the course thus far, I have really enjoyed going through Neuro Teach textbook. The information provided in incredibly insightful and opens my thinking in areas that is not generally explored. The All Kinds of Minds framework showed the power of understanding learners and learning, which is extremely important in developing, managing, and growing successful programming. The videos provided every week are really fun to watch, I really enjoy learning through watching instead of reading. The videos are captivating, insightful, and extremely intriguing.

Having the opportunity to be creative and explore new online applications for creative solutions has been SO exciting! Even though I have still stuck with two programs I am familiar with (I am a creature of habit sometimes), I am making a goal for myself during the next few weeks to try at least 2-3 new programs! Being able to express the coursework in a personalized creative way allows for so much freedom and flexibility, which I believe allows the student to produce the best results possible! A little freedom goes a long way. This has been one of my biggest takeaways from this course thus far!

I find myself having the opportunity to use the learnings from our EDUC courses within my workplace everyday. Using the ISTE framework, I was able to take a personal look at the technology we are currently using and evaluated with my boss what could be improved. Since the framework was fresh in my mind, going through the steps briefly was really beneficial and allowed us to walk through and look with fresh eyes! Having a greater understanding of instructional design, I now am able to assess certain situations that have not been dealt with for quite some time. The course takeaways are applicable every day in different ways!
