This was beneficial, as if it was necessary for the final music video I would be able to use it and know what you can and can't do with it. For example I learnt that when removing the green background in Premiere Pro (using chroma key) it also removed fragments of my friend's hair, and didn't look soft around the edges. The last on a shoulder mount, so that I could get some movement and energy into thew video because it is a fast paced song. I chose to use DSLRs over phone cameras and handhelds because I knew from the AS thriller opening production and preliminary pieces that they produced a clear picture and were reliable. From using the same Nikon camera in previous media studies work, and to film a promotional video for a school production of the musical Hairspray a month before filming the music video. To get inspiration for my music video I went to Youtube to find already existing professional music videos. Building up an idea of what was coventional in a music video for an indie/alternative song was important to me. I also looked at what the band who I chosen the song from had done in their music videos. I learnt that they featured themselves often in a performance set-up. I also used Youtube to look at previous media students in an exercise to get used the mark scheme and know exactly what do and include. 

Uploading the drafts onto Youtube allowed me them on my blog and gather audience feedback easier. As people could access the video on any device, as long as they had internet connection. 

Tutorials for the adobe packages can also be found on Youtube, alongside vlogs about how to create a low budget professional looking music video. Specifically I re-watched a tutorial I found useful in AS to refresh my memory.
