I want to gain event management skills and see their practical applications. I also would like to collaborate with a variety of different groups and see how these groups interact and what we can do to bring people together. I hope I get the chance to be hands on as a part of the event planning and design process.

I want to become a more confident communicator, specifically in person. I want to be able to more seamlessly, easily and confidentially communicate my thoughts, feelings and concepts to people, as well as do this in front of loads of people, and on the spot without preparation.

I also want to become more confident in myself as a professional, and try and grow out of my imposter syndrome in work/study settings, and value myself as highly as I value others. I would like to do this through self-reflection, and not just rely on feedback from others to validate myself.

Develop my intercultural communication whilst working with a specific culture, learning skills here I can apply to other cultural experiences in the future.

I want to deepen my understanding of the complex experiences of women in the justice system - how they view life, how their cultural backgrounds shape their perspectives, and how these factors influence their choices. More importantly, I want to learn how I can support and empower these women in a culturally appropriate way.
