My three main SMART goals for math at the start of the year was to procrastinate less, retain what I learn better and apply my learnings from math in practical ways.

I have attained the 1st goal of procrastinating less because compared to before, when I start a math homework, I dont do anything besides that homework until I accomplish the task.

I have also retained my lessons better by taking down more notes and doing the drills that sir gives until I am confident that I have gotten the topic and not just until I am tired or bored.

Finally, I have not been able to apply my math skills in real life scenarios, though I have been able to apply it in video games when the game has a big map that I have to navigate myself around because I have become more confident with using coordinates and slopes.

The most challenging task for me this term was PO 4A because the concept of Radicals was new and looked very overwhelming to me. I had a hard time simplifying radical expressions because I was confused on how to get the perfect square from a radical. I was able to overcome my challenges in this by watching the OT's tutorial video on the topic.

Throughout Module 3, I had a misconception on multiplying and dividing exponents. I recall my steps in simplifying being incomplete during the photo output because I would forget that the final answer cant have negative exponents and it caused me to have a very low score. I eventually just reviewed and learned Simplifying exponents quickly on google classroom and YouTube when we started learning radicals because I knew if I wanted to keep up with the lessons, I had to learn this quickly.

Because PO 4A was very challenging for me, I didn't give up on answering it. I asked sir for help and looked on YouTube for a lot of tutorials. At the end, I was very proud of my photo output because I got a perfect score of 15/15 despite my challenges at the start of answering it.

I am proud of my work in PO 1 because I dreaded this topic in grade 8, and I thought I wouldn't do good in future modules related to this topic. But I didn't give up in this case and kept reviewing and studying so that I could get a good grasp on the lesson and get a good score on this photo output.

I contributed to my group in Photo Output 2: Solving Systems of LE2V by not being a burden to Benj and Axel and figuring out my items on my own. I also tried to help Jared when he was nagging me even if I was still doing my own items which was a fair contribution.

Cerebry 5.3 was very hard for me because the items took some time to answer and if I made a typo or an error, I would have to redo it and get -% by Cerebry. Because of a lot of trial and error at the start, Cerebry really helped ingrain the solving steps into my brain and made me more careful in submitting my answer which allowed me to finish the task and get a better grasp on Radical Operations.
