The treatment of current diseases and sicknesses will drastically improve and the average age of death will dramatically increase across the entire world. Robotics will help us perform human tasks much easier in the future and we will be able to do so much more in general in the future. This could lead to our downfall because there could be wars over this and a lot of conflict. With nanotechnology, nations and groups could weaponize this technology making it a tool of mass destruction, even worse than an atomic bomb. This could lead to the downfall of us because of the sheer danger of weaponizing nanotechnology. First of all, our future is never inevitable and our eventual demise is definitely not guaranteed; we have the power, especially in today's day and age, to change the outcome of humanity forever and I don't see why we can't or shouldn't do that.
