I chose this video because I often feel overwhelmed with balancing school and life. I liked most of the advice. One tip I liked was to make sure you are not always "sprinting," to have a balance between working hard and taking breaks. Another piece of advice I liked was to have consistent routines and habits. Another tip they mentioned was to order your priorities.

I chose this video because I wanted to know what habits make students successful. The first one he mentioned was to be a forward thinker, to anticipate what you need to do and what problems may arise so you can prepare for them ahead of time. Set up reminders for events in the near future. Also be forward thinking in making time for relationships and friendships. When you are problem solving, take time to really try and work out a problem yourself, and then ask for help if you still don't get it. Build relationships with teachers and faculty, and learn outside of class. Look out for opportunities and stay physically and mentally fit.

I chose this video because I am learning a of new skills, especially in math. The video talks about the 3 stage model of skill acquisition. The cognitive stage, where you are just learning about a skill and forming new neural pathways. The associative stage, involving more practice and picking out and changing mistakes. The Autonomous stage is where you have mastered the skill and an do it basically automatically. You should break down skills into sub-skills and learn about each sub-skill. You can also look to people who are "masters" in a certain area or skill and imitate what they do.

I chose this article because it concisely lists 10 habits that help to make students successful in school. They are easy to implement and cover some similar concepts as the videos such as organization.

This article contains more helpful advice. One thing I found helpful was to set up systems rather than relying on motivation. Every day you will study at the same time, so there's no compromise. You should also review learned information on the same day.
