by learning history it can be used to compare both the old and the now. to relate it to my field, the designs back then can be used as an inspiration and it also brings out meanings based on the detailed design. by learning this too, i am able to gain general knowledge on historical architects and share it to others. this involves appreciating what was built and passed on back then.
