• Have you ever wanted to browse through a resource based on whether the SDGs are directly or indirectly included – in a booklet, a short film, an issue-based activity pack or an NGO report?

• Note: the 17 goals of the SDGs are seen and understood to be ‘interdependent’ – this means that they rely on each other in order to succeed in reaching the Goals, rather than achieving them in isolation or in silos…so feel free to explore across as well within Goals.

The activity-drive resource is populated with real-life stories; stories from individuals affected by the issues in Peru and Northern Ireland; stories from those who are creating real and attractive alternatives; stories from brave individuals who refuse to accept that profit and greed should be valued more than people and planet.

This resource pack will help to foster attitudes of respect and an appreciation of the uniqueness of each individual. Pupils will also develop skills to enable them to take action to defend human rights.

As a very visible output of the work pupils could mount an exhibition of the work they have done in their classroom and maybe contribute to an assembly to raise awareness in their school of the topic they have been studying.

For water, a catchment is an area of land where water is collected by the natural landscape and flows from source though rivers, lakes and groundwater to the sea. Living in a catchment that has healthy waters can help a community to have a better quality of life.

A healthy water catchment provides high-quality drinking water and supports livelihoods like agriculture, recreational angling and water sports. It also supports local ecosystems so that humans, plants, animals, fish and insects that all depend on having healthy water can thrive and flourish.
