The answer is always - we have a large team and a team that is specialized – what’s missing is more regular conversations. Oldest openings are science openings. Urgent and Important Openings – Ongoing Dialogue on what we can do – when we get an obstacle, we should work together to ensure there is a creative initiative and thinking around sourcing. Think through how to better communicate.

We hired people so quickly in our most recent role so this is something that we should continue thinking about

Defining what we consider urgent

Create a specific timeline and guardrails

How do we replicate that and not let is lose the urgency

If we call everything urgent that synergy dissolves a bit

Agree – that we need to figure out what is urgent and important in every step

We know the value of inch pebbles - how do we move closer by narrowing our focus.

Hone in and get to the bottom of every single opening that still exists
Things are paralyzing right now we should rely on CS instead of admin - admin are hard to get a hold of

Having a singular focus to understand our openings - what's the ins and out.

It still feels overwhelming (29 openings) - there were info sessions - there were very specific talking points. It's important to test what worked. Lets pick the English opening at CHA, or Math at Legacy, or PLTW at Legacy.

Reach out to Directors in the content areas and ask them about each of the openings and honing in on a few openings. Both strategies can take place at the same time.

Collaborate in recruiting instead of learning about openings -

Middle school - more complexity bc of vaccination issues - may be harder to staff

Legacy has 4 ELA openings - that has been Lisa's priority

it's one thing to hear about it and another to see it - that burning platform is important - usually we transition to strategic work and that's not our reality anymore -
