There are 4 races each year in which 20 runners participate. First they have to climb up the hill and then, after giving the cheese one-second head start, they chase it to the bottom of the hill. Although the winner is supposed to be the one who catches the cheese, the first one over the finish line at the bottom of the slope wins and gets the cheese. This, a large double Gloucester decorated with ribbons, usually weights over 4kg and it can reach up to 112km/h!
Competitors often get injured, although there are some ‘catchers’ at the bottom of the hill to try to stop them.
It is not clear when the game started but it is at least 200 years old.

Participants have to throw a heavy tuna fish as far as they can and the winner gets a prize -  the World Championship and a slice of $3,000 cash.

In this competition, contestants shoot a pea through a tube, 12 feet towards a 12-inch target.
