Below is a summary of the information I have received to date.

The application process will probably open in November or December 2025 (keep an eye on the LFA website).

The entrance exams are planned to take place on ( ) (written paper) and ( ) (oral) 2026.


Literature written exam : duration 1h30. Consists of an extract from a text with associated questions

to be answered. This is followed by a piece of extended writing in connection with the text extract.

The extended piece of writing is generally a creative composition but this is not always the case. In previous years, applicants have not been asked to write an essay, however, the PEE skills you have learned in structuring answers to questions may prove useful.

Literature oral exam : Discussion lasting a few minutes. Candidates are then given a quotation for

literature and asked about how they interpret the theme of

the quotation.

History / Geography exam : In previous years, applicants have been asked to write an essay. This exam will be document-based (i.e. you will be given two or three documents to analyse). More information on this exam can be obtained from Mr Vlahopoulos.
