  • if marginal ridge is removed 3x more likely, repair with MTA and follow up
Cementing
  • Rely X Luting (PFM, zirconia, FPD, full metal, some lithium)
Fiber post- used now 90% compared to cast metal but more likely for post to break rather than tooth
  • Bruxers and grinders need a post, if tooth has no adjacent support post is needed, if canine has a canine rise
He loves to use Glutaraldehyde (cementing zirconia crowns, crack, pulp exposure, before etching)

Crown lengthening always involve removing bone- be cautious with laser companies

Red flags
  • Sensitivity teeth (teeth could be too short causing trauma to occlusion)
  • Short preps
  • Red/sore gums/ odor

Follow the rise and fall- know the anatomy 

Goal: 3mm bone to margin
Always use your probe- bone to restorative margin
