Newly Adopted English Language Arts Standards

Per the Georgia Department of Education (GADOE), Georgia’s K-12 English Language Arts Standards were approved at the May 2023 State Board of Education meeting. Throughout the 2024-2025 school year, teachers will receive training and professional learning, new resources will be developed, assessments will be aligned to the updated standards, and communication will be provided to parents to ensure a smooth transition. These standards will be implemented during the 2025-2026 school year.
