It has been a full and varied programme, with different activities and focus each day. Lots of opportunities to explore the customs, cultures, education system and everyday life of our partners. I was particularly impressed by the preparation and the warm welcome of our host school. All classes and teachers prepared something different to make us feel valued and important. It was great to have the opportunity to chat with children and teachers and feel their great enthusiasm for the project first hand. The school is extremely well resourced and had many inspiring high quality displays giving lots of opportunity to explore different teaching and learning ideas to take back to our own country to share with colleagues and use in our own classrooms.   Most of our exploration was focused on social, cultural and educational experiences. We explored one of the biggest industries in Cyprus - The grape and how it is used in so many different ways, we explored growth, production processes, history, and of course our children and teachers had the opportunity to sample the flavours of this important fruit.. Travelling through Cyprus to the mountains and the journey to school each day gave opportunity to explore the contrasting localities of town and countryside. The visit to the village , the marina and the beach also gave opportunity to explore the island. Eating outside in the streets was a different experience for our children too. A  meeting with coordinators to discuss the progress of the project was useful in terms of forward planning and to highlight next steps in terms of mobilities, content of programmes and completion of outstanding tasks. In order to fulfil grant specs and claim the final 20% funding, we need to widen participation and visibility of project to whole school community

Possibility of an Erasmus+ week ( similar to creativity week) before Feb half term and the final uk host visit  - after chatting with Maria and James, we thought... each class could take one of the countries as their cross curricular theme - displays, facts, music, dance, craft activities, art... endless possibilities

???  parents could be invited to an exhibition  before the summer break to encourage wider participation of new year 5/6

At the beginning of July,  it is my intention to ‘list’ upcoming events and activities we need to prepare for the future exchanges of all projects up to at least Feb half term.
