In 33:36 it is said "It is not for a believing man or woman—when Allah and His Messenger decree a matter—to have any other choice in that matter." the significance of this is that whatever has been planned by Allah SWT in terms of obligation must be followed, but it is our choices in relation to our obedience that may be the reason for our preplanned fortune or misfortune, hence, one should not try to contradict the notion of divine decree and honor it to their best ability.
