It can be seen when their aunt was the first person who is comforting them after the incident. Besides her aunt was not married yet, so she offered them to live with her. It is also can be seen when her grandfather always took Thomas a walk when he throws tantrum. Her grandparents always keep visiting them because Nadeen and Thomas are their only grandchild from their only daughter. In the nutshell, as a family, we must help our family members if they're having any problems.

      Nandene who is the most painful, be a most responsible sister as she drop her opportunity to get a job just to be with his brother as she know that her brother really need her by his side. This show that no matter what happened in our life, family is the first priority. It’s goes same with their aunt and grandparent who were by their side to comfort them when they lost everything. Her aunt who is very nice was volunteer to take those to child to live with her. 
 
In my life, I was once lost my bestfriend just because one misunderstand between us. Until now, I did not contact her. IT is very sad because we had promised that we will graduate together in last year. But now, I finally meet a real friend which is always by my side.

  In conclusion, I fall in love of  how supportive they are to be with each other when they face the hardest time in their life.

                   In my life I have lost my bestfriend ,be patient with myself is the first way for me to overcome with the loss , I gave myself time to accept what has happened and  choose to stand up . I trained my mind to accept thing that I cannot change and choose to focus on what I can change my life to make it  better and said to myself the past is over, and the future hasn’t happened yet. 

                   In conclusion this story told us that we must keep moving on because life doesn’t stop just because that person is not alive. Ask yourself if your loved one would really want you to stop your life because they’re no longer alive.

    This story reminds me of the incident on 19 December 2018 which is on my birthday. On the meaningful day I had lost the cat that I loved the most. She is so beautiful, clever, playful and sometimes so annoying. She died in front of my eyes when I busy wash her cage and suddenly I heard the sound of a break car and the screaming of cat. I don’t know it would be the last time I saw her cute face. No celebration was held that day because I locked myself in my room and cried for a whole day. I overcome my sadness with playing with other cat of mine and always set of my mind that she is fine and live happily in Jannah.

       In conclusion, we need to appreciate our time with our precious one and create memorable memory as much as we can because our life would not be the same after their death.

     The ending of story is coming to my liking because it really resembles the idiom every cloud has a silver lining.The story teaches me to never feel hopeless because difficult times always lead to better days so we should always accept our fate as it is because it will motivate us to do better in everything.I also experienced a loss of my grandfather whom I treasure the most.The pain and the feeling of emptiness motivates to work harder so that he can feel proud of me.

     All in all, we should cherish all the moments with our loved ones to leave no regrets and never doubt our fate because everything happens for a reason.

     But I really love the ending of this story because it shows me that Nadene  carry out her responsibilities towards her brother trough thick and thin. Nadene and Tommy also success in their life even without their beloved parents. It takes a lot to move on from the tragedy but they gather their courage and scattered heart to fulfil their parents hope to become a successful person. They become closer and promised to take care of each other. The ending taught me not to give up in life especially when you lost someone dear to you. As Nadene says, life must go on.

   This story reminded me when I lost my aunty. Her name was Faridah Binti Parjan. This year almost 6 years she passed away. She suffering from cancer but we were too late to know about it until the cancer reached stage 4. One day, Allah took her from us because He loves my aunty more. The days past really hard and dark. But I realized she once said no matter what happend please enjoy our life because our life is too short to be sad. I overcome my grief and stick to her word. I started to do some exercises and kept myself busy. Now, the sadness still remain but I looked at it in positive way which is I am glad and thankful to have her in my life even in a short time. 

   In conclusion, we must treasure our family members if they are still alive because unfortunate things do happen. And family support really are the most effective therapy when we are sad. For example, when Nadene and Tommy lost their parents, their aunty and grandparents always stand by them. They take care of the siblings and remove their agony especially Tommy that find it really hard to move on. Family bond is the most powerful bond in life. 

        For example ,Nadine’s aunt who willingly take after Nadine and Tommy after they lost their parent. Also their grandparent who visit them as much as they can to give a moral support. Beside, their grandmother tried her best to help them by cook their favourite meals and their grandfather also helps when there was a time that Tommy was throwing a tantrum, he took Tommy to the beach for a walk .It also can be shown when Nadine who willingly drop the opportunity to get a job at Penang and choose to stay with her brother who really need her the most.

        This story reminds me of my late sister. She died because of lung cancer stage 4. This year almost 3 years she passed away .She was the strongest person that I ever know . Before she died, we spend a lot of time at the hospital ,she needs to stay at the hospital because of she depends on the oxygen and morphine . After school on Friday ,I will pack my stuff and went to hospital and stay at the hospital until Sunday .  Now , I have taught myself to believe in Allah plans and pray for her peace even sometimes I cried when thinking about her .We may do not really have photo together but our old conversation on WhatsApp is priceless.

        In conclusion, having a supportive family is such a blessed . Family bond is something that we cannot buy with money but love , time and trust. I really adore with their the strength of family bond, they have each other when they face the hardest time in their life.

          In my personal opinion, I really like the ending of this story because we can see how important the bounding in the family itself. For example, I really touched when Nadene choose to find the other jobs in state, rather than accepted the job offer in Penang just to take care of her brother. On the other hand, we can see the concern from their aunt and their grandparents that always try their best to cherish them through their darkest day by visiting them and cooking their favourite dishes.

            This story reminds me of my late cousin that passes away 7 years ago because of the bowel cancer. It really gave an impact on my life because we are both in the same age. I always shared all my story to him when we went back during Hari Raya. Losing him, made me felt empty and lonely. But I am really grateful to have a family that always gave an endless support for me to endure with that situation.             

            Overall, it may be said having a good family bonding through a hard time is the precious thing that we could not ask for. 

The ending reminding me with my lost of my bestfriend . My love towards my bestfriend is enormous same as Nadene’s love towards her parents. I just lost her just in a blink of eye . She had an accident exactly in front of me. My tears burst out and I cannot stop from thinking of her. But I choose to step forward and find a new bestfriend .

In conclusion, we must appreciate those people surround us and treat them well.

    In my personal opinion, Ilike the sending story because Nadene and his brother,Tommy are able to live a very good life without their parents. As proof, Tommy has become a successful person because he has achieved education up to degree meanwhile Nadene was offered to be a CEO of a company in Kuala Lumpur. Besides, I like the ending of this story because the bond of brotherhood between Nadene and her brother is very strong. Nadene will not leave her brother far away always be by her brother's side to take good care of him without their parents. Therefore, they also have an aunt and grandparents are very kind to take care of them both.

      This story reminds me of my late father who died due to asthma 9 years ago. It happened in my house which at that time only the two of us were at home because my mother had business outside. That night, I slept and woke up because outside the light room was open.I saw that my father in pain could not breathe.My father died right in front of my own eyes and I could not do anything because at that time I was still young.How I faced this loss is busy with daily routine although sometimes sad to see others can still smile with their father.What I can do for him is to be a good and successful child in life.

      In conclusion, having a supportive family is an advantage. This is because a good family bond can not be bought with money, but can be bought with love. Thus, we need to appreciate family members who are willing to face adversity together.

 

            It can we seen that her aunt was the first person that takes care of Nadeen’s family after the incidents.I like the way of Nadene take care of her only little brother with fully of care.When the Nadeen get got a job of new CEO of Chemical Engineering in Kuala Lumpur while Tommy get her Bachelor of Accounting and Finance.It will be more attractive eventhough their family was killed by the car incident at the highway that should not be the reason to Nadeen to give up in her life.

 

             In my life they was an incident that I remembered the most is when I lost my wallet when I was in boarding school in 2016.The wallet contain my only picture when I was in primary school.I not cried but I try my best to find it because I think that I misplaced the wallet.Until now , I still remembered the wallet because I try to survived in boarding school without a single penny in my wallet.So,the only solution that I can do is I must make a new identification card and bank card.I think that I can just sit down and overthink about the wallet.I must take a quick action to overcome my problem .My mother help me to go the police station and do a report and make a new identification card.

    

             In conclusion is eventhough in our darkest time,we must stronger than anyone else and try the best to find solution to continue our journey in life like Tommy and Nadeen.Because one day the person that we have is only ourself.There is no reason to give up in life.

                                                                                                                  

     Family support and love are the most important for Nadene and her brother after they lost their parent.Their aunt always take care of them and she also took a week off to make sure they were okay after the incident.The grandparents often come to visit them and try their best to cherish them as an example their grandmother always cooked their favourite dishes and their grandfather also brought Tommy for a long walk at beach when Tommy felt sad.Nadene also try her best to help her brother because he was still young to accept the fate so she decided to decline the job offer at Penang.She wants to stay close with her brother.

 

          I once lose a precious one in my life when I was thirteen years old.He was my grandfather,the person who always stay by my side whenever I felt broken or having any problem.He may not gave an advice that will heal my heart but only with his jokes,laughters it will cheer up me and I can forgot all my problems for a while.He passed away because he fell in the bathroom when he went to Subuh prayer.That time,I was at my house at Johor and went we heard the news,my family and I rushed to my hometown at Kelantan.That day,I was crying heavily because the time he gone I knew I will lose someone who was always by my side forever.I took a long time to get up and face the reality especially with my family support who always try their best to be by my side.I successfully slowly accept the fate that my grandfather already gone but his presence always stay in my heart and I will always pray for him because he is a man with a kind heart.

  As a conclusion,I believe with family support and love we will be able to break through all the difficulty in our life.

Based on the short story ‘through thick and thin ‘ I realized that family support is the key for us to keep stay motivated and move forward and  when I go through all the story I really like the ending .

     We can look their aunt bring Nandine and Tommy to her house and treat they like her own child.This really make me cry because  if I was in Nandine shoes   I don’t even can think or plan my new life  after an unforgettable tragedic.Morever their grandparents also take a responsible to take care of them which is cook their favourite meal and try their best to support their life .

    7 years ago my adoptive mother was passed away.I really can accept it at first because I have not met him about 2 years.The day she was passed away I was in hostel and can’t go back home.I still regret it but I need to move forward because it happened because ALLAH S.W.T. planned.From that day , I set my mind to be a good  English teacher like him even though my English was not good enough.

In conclusion ,family is a priority .No matter happened in future never break your bond with family but strengthen your family bond day by day because the only one that we can trust and get help are family not outsider .

I really like the ending of the story because it tell us to always be positive in every situation. Everybody wants happiness, nobody wants pain, but you can’t have a rainbow without a little rain. After the incident, Nadene’s aunt and her grandparents took care of Nadene and Tommy without any complaint. In addition, they are very grateful with presence of their aunt and grandparents whom are giving attention and their loves to them .I have lost one of my best friend in 2015. I only befriended him for a year before he passed away and I still can remember his advice to never underestimate the power of friend. He never told me about his illness until one day he is warded in hospital and the next day teacher in our class told that he is no longer alive. My heart skipped a beat when I heard that news and I can’t stop crying. I would never forgot him since he is my first best friend in school at that time and forever.

In conclusion, we should never lose hope after something bad happened. We never know what tomorrow may bring. Last but not least, appreciate people around you before you are losing them especially to the one who doesn’t tell you what you want to hear, but tells you what you need to hear.

                Based on this story , it remind me of something that I lost during this pandemic which is my high school memories journal and it was my favourite book because it has so many pictures of my and my friend when we were doing so many activities together. The book was very special to me because the book contains so many things and it took me about 4 years to collect all those pictures and 2 weeks to compile it . after losing the book I was really sad but slowly the pain healing and I keep reminding myself that even the book was lost the memories still in my mind .

                In the conclusion , we need to face the traumatic or terrible events that happen to us in order to keep moving on. Like Nadene , she face the truth and took care of her little brother alongside her aunty and their grandparents that always be there for them.
