However, I think the goal of education is educating the students the basics of reading, writing, and math. From there schools should attempt to be a central location of broadening students horizons to the various cultures and opportunities present in our communities and moving in the direction of preparing students for life outside of academics. Education should strive to do what is necessary to better society in the future to be more fair, accessible, and representative of ANY race or culture. Students should be able to not only learn the foundational knowledge that they need for their future profession, but also how to be a respectable member of a more progressive society.
