• 1 page of Introduction: cultural/historical background of the dish & why this dish is meaningful to me.

• Be at least 10 pages of a fiction story (preferably more pages)

• Include 3–6 sentences + recording of your reading per page

• 1 page of recipe: include the ingredients, cooking instructions

this is a traditional hald moon shaped rice cake eaten for centuries especially during chuseok. chuseok dates back to 57 BCE-668 CE. It was originally made to celebrate the harvest and give thanks to ancestors. Also the half moon shape represents growth and hope. it also is a multigenerational activity, and I actually remember making them as a kid. i want the theme to show that food can carry memories identity and love even across generations. and so the moral could be when we participate in our cultural traditions, we understand who we are and where we belong. so its gonna be about songpyeon thats made during chuseok and i want to show the half moon representing hope and growth, and the elders teaching the younger children how to make it. so the main characters can be a young girl, the grandma, mom, dad, and maybe a young cousin or something so the grandma can be the bridge. i will choose some flavor expressions as fit

4. 승훈: 승훈이의 이야기와 그림이 정말 대박이에요. 책의 제목과 그림만으로도 딱! 읽고 싶어지는! Please read my comments on the cover page. 김밥을 먹는 순간 신기한 음식나라로 순간 이동했잖아요. 그곳에 다른 여러 가지 음식이 있어도 좋지만, 처음에는 뭔가 김밥과 연결되는 것들이 등장하면 이야기의 흐름이 더 자연스러울 것 같아요. 음식나라에서 돌아오기 전...콜라 비도..혹시 '두부가 섞인 된장국 비', 뭐 이런 거면 어때요? 그래서 현실로 돌아왔을 때 영감을 얻고, 김밥과 함께 먹을 된장국을 끓이면서 끝나는?? (그냥 선생님 생각이니까, 승훈이가 생각해보고 결정해요~ ^^)
