Google’s digital learning platform offers most/all the benefits of other learning management systems and also interacts seamlessly with other Google education apps. Your district needs to have a Google Apps for Education plan.
It can be used to help facilitate a wide variety of collaborative projects, including announcements, assignments, and questions. It’s a great tool for sharing responses with others.

A nice free digital learning platform if you don’t have access to Google Apps for Education and Google Classroom. Of the two, Google Classroom looks better to me, but Edmodo is nice for sharing and commenting on student responses. It resembles Facebook, so many students will like its looks.
