Five other options exist for you:

Make an Anonymous Alert at www.anonymousalerts.com/HarlandaleISD
Call the school directly at (210) 989-2220.
Call, text, or chat with someone that can help at the Child HelpLine, 24/7: https://www.childhelp.org/childhelp-hotline/
Make a report to Child Protective Services at www.dfps.state.tx.us/contact_us/report_abuse.asp
Call the police. In addition to 911, you can also call SAPD's non-emergency number at 210-207-7273.
Call or text 911 in an emergency. To text the police in an emergency situation where you feel unsafe speaking, put in 911 as the number you are texting.

You may feel more comfortable talking to someone from school for help. However, the above options are available to you if you need them. If you have a hearing or speech difficulty, you can dial or text 711 to have a Texas Relay operator speak for you (tell the agent that you need to call the Texas Abuse Hotline at 1-800-252-5400). Do not abuse these numbers; use them appropriately.

That includes immigration status, medical information, etc. Everything we talk about stays in my room unless you yourself choose to talk about coming to talk to me or unless there is a risk of harm coming to you, another student below the age of 18, or a senior citizen; the pregnancy of a minor; or if we discuss there being weapons\drugs on campus. In that case I do have to tell what's going on and I like to include your counselor as well so that someone at the school knows as well. This is the law, I don't have a choice, but I don't do it because I'm just following orders: I do it because I genuinely care about your happiness and well-being, even if it doesn't seem like it. I am not spreading rumors; I am making sure that we have things in place at the school to protect you and help explain at least a little why you need a break from class, or some other way we can help you at KMS.

CIS is an outside organization that has permission to help students on campus. If something is going on that your parents or teachers may benefit from knowing, such as cyberbullying, I encourage you to speak with your parents too, and can even sit with you for support if you wish me to do so.
