Naziah demonstrates a very good understanding of numbers and counting. She can identify numbers at random, write them neatly, and recall numbers previously learnt. She counts forwards to 100 and backwards from 30, as well as from any given number, such as 5 or 10. Naziah enjoys counting concrete objects and using an abacus to support her understanding. She can recognise shapes, count the sides of 2D shapes, and identify familiar 3D shapes. Her enthusiasm and confidence in numeracy activities are excellent. My little mathematician – keep it up, Naziah!

She enjoys exploring different types of jumps, such as hopping and leaping, and shows excellent rhythm and agility when moving her body. She also enjoys helping others to learn. She is developing strength and accuracy when kicking towards a goal or partner and shows good strength and coordination when climbing. She is improving in accuracy when throwing overarm and enjoys simple ball games. Naziah enjoys exploring obstacle courses and has learned to follow simple movement sequences. She can hop on one foot for a few seconds and enjoys practising on both sides. Naziah shows growing accuracy in hand–eye coordination, especially in swinging or catching activities.
