You may also be the help that someone else needs in their life.
Taking risks is important because it is how humanity is able to accomplish great things, without risks nothing new would be created, our lives would be miserable and insignificant.

The two lessons that stood out to me the most from the Admirals speech would have to be Life's not fair and Life others up. The reason Life's not fair stands out the most to me is because its true. Life is never fair there will always be people you are better or worse off but that can't effect how you choose and strive to live your life. Lift others up stands out to me a lot because it is something I have always been taught. My mother is amazing at lifting others up and putting others before herself.

The two lessons that Admiral William H. talked about that stood out to me the most were, to make your bed and to take risks. My mother always tells me to make my bed in the morning, she says it's a good way to start the day, I never knew what she meant but now I think I will start making my bed everyday. The other lesson that stood out to me was to take risks. When you look back on history and even current news, the people who are making a difference in the world today take risks.

For me, one of the statements that stands out to me is Life's Not Fair. This one stands out to me because if you plan to go through life thinking everything is going to be perfect, it sets you up to be disappointed when something or someone fails you. Another that stands out is Take Risks. Some people will go there who live afraid of what others may think. Not taking risks leads you to think about the what-ifs. What if I did this and I succeeded. By not taking risks will lead to you to second guess yourself until you do take a risk

Some people have different experiences, whether they are fair or not. And you just got to push through it, push through the unfairness, it is not an excuse.
Don't be afraid to fail. I would rather say don't be afraid to make mistakes, mistakes is what teaches you, you learn from your mistakes. The only real failure in life is giving up. You can have millions of billions of mistakes, but no amount of mistakes come even close to the ultimate failure of giving up.
Life isn't fair, learn from your mistakes, never give up, and you will be able to do everything.

I take away from life's not fair because some people are granted certain oppurtinities while other's are not. To combat it you would have to drive on and keep moving foward and I really like that message. The other one I take the most from is failure makes you stronger, life can happen, things wont go your way. When poop hits the fan, it makes you a better person and you learn how to not have poop hit the fan again.

Respect everyone, if there is no respect for others nothing will go right for you. The way you treat people shows a lot about you so you might as well be respectful to everyone because you never know the battles that someone else is fighting. Give people hope, this is so important. I love bringing people up because I have been that person. I have been the person that wanted to quit but someone brought me up and said don't quit now we are almost done. That motivation and support can change a person's life for the better.

The two that stand out to me are 'lift up others' and 'never give up.' Both are of extreme importance in the modern world. With so many different influences surrounding us, we require both of these lessons to continue. 'Lifting others up' is one of the greatest things one can do, sacrificing yourself in some way to make another life better. "Never give up' is very important, its the motivation to continue, the way forward, the path to progression.

I think that rising up to the occasion and finding someone to help you through life are the two pieces of advice that stick out to me the most. Sometimes life requires you to get out of your comfort zone, and to try your best. Rising up to the occasion is important otherwise you will end up stuck in your tracks. I think that having someone to help you, to be with you, or guide you is also important, because trying to learn and grow by yourself is perilous, and not a good plan.

I think another lesson in this is failure can make you stronger than you were before and teach you how to keep persisting through challenges and barriers.

Number 10 stood out because no matter how hard things get, giving up shouldn't be an option. Perseverance is what builds character and defines you as a person.

I think that this one is important to remember because everyone goes through tough times but things will eventually always get better. Also, these things will seem like a better situation in the future. These things that seem bad at the time will be future life lessons. These life lessons can be great knowledge just for yourself or to share with others.
2.) Respecting others is important as well. I think that everyone has different perspectives and different ideas that could be beneficial to everybody. I do not think it is fair to judge people off of the way they look either since this is something that can not really be controlled.

The reason why is because I believe that everyone has the potential to be great, and sometimes the world might be too much for them. This is because it judges whether or not the day is going to be productive or unproductive. It gives you more confidence in yourself to work harder and to get more things done. It enables you to work on the other 9 things in the list.
The second is to take risks. You will not get anywhere in life if you don't take risks. Like everyone else. "Start your day off with a task completed" is also really important. It can be the drive to get people on their feet and being productive, even if it is just a simple task.

Two lessons that I like out of the speech are 1. Don't be afraid to fail. I think this one is very important because people seem to look at failure as this terrible terrible thing and that's not true. I had a old coach named coach Kennedy and he always told me to not be afraid to have a bad race because your either win or you learn. There is no losing he said. Everything you do in your life is positive he said and ill never forget that.
2. The second one I like is lift people up, I've seen so many runners in my life have a couple bad races in a row and they spiral into this mental hole where they aren't having any fun anymore because they are trying to run good now. That's not how this sport works, if your head isn't in the right place you already lost your race so whenever I see somebody sad about a race I always gotta go over to them because that person could hang up the shoes next year because they think they peaked. Nobody peaks in highschool you just gotta keep going.
