Visible light also enables us to see things around us.
Harmful Effect ( 1 ) : Visible Light can cause chemical changes in some materials like paper, cloth, leather, photographs and media. This results in the deterioration of their quality and is also why flash photography is disallowed in some museums or art galleries
Harmful Effect ( 2 ) : Visible light may cause light pollution when there is too much artificial light in the environment, typically caused by cities. This negatively impacts living things that depend on Earth’s cycle of day and night to carry out life-sustaining activities. One of which is migration and artificial light disrupt the migration of animals, causing them to migrate too early or too late. This can be fatal to animals as they may miss the ideal climate conditions for nesting and having an adequate food supply.
Fun Fact : Other interesting uses of Visible Light include Li-Fi, underwater communications, vehicle to vehicle communications and robots which serves us
