It takes Frank back to his roots of a Vietnam soldier rather than a soldier in Afghanistan. It tells the story from the perspective of another Marine under his command who do not understand how he can do what he can do and why he does it just to keep their platoon running despite the fact that half of them are addicted to heroin. It depicts him as an unstoppable killing machine who will do anything to win the war. The final page shows him scared to be back home after serving four tours in Vietnam. These issues were dark and even was able to make me feel bad for the characters involved. This takes The Punisher back to his roots and inspired The Punisher Netflix series which was also amazing.
