No, this kind of Monopoly is not the board game. Monopolies were when one company is the only producer of a good. They were very powerful, and had control over supply and price of items. Monopolies destroyed competition. Competition benefits selection, price, and product from companies.

Laissez Faire basically means that the government was not interfering in the workings of the free market. This changed after the Populist Party put pressure on the government. The Populist Party wanted the federal government to become less lassiez faire and enforcing hands on with regulating and supervising the railroad businesses. After, the government enforced hands on it led to the Interstate Commerce Act.

I find it really cool that a few important locations were during the Industrial Revolution were in Ohio. John D. Rockefeller was a philanthropist and made his wealth in the oil industry in Cleveland, Ohio. After his death, the Rockefeller Center in New York was named after him. Also, William McKinley's "Front Porch Campaign" took place in Canton, Ohio.

I like working, but I am just kid, so all I can handle is school work! I am so glad that Mary "Mother" Harris Jones contributed to the end of child labor. I would have physically and mentally broken down if I had to do child labor (which would not benefit me). However I am glad that I am able to do and be in school to this day, because it benefits me, and gives me something to do during the day.
