I think this story would give Taylor some insight into how being true to yourself is one of the most important lessons to be learned. But when all of the male players are called to fight in the war, Katie has to fight her own battle at the plate. Sometimes sports are made out to be primarily a boys thing to do but this book shows that girls can play too!
