Our workcamp was taking place in Heideruh, the oldest anti-fascist meeting place and recreation center in northern Germany.

Our work included preparing the outdoor area for the upcoming 100 year anniversary next year through woodwork and renovation of infrastructure.

We also looked at and discussed the history of fascism and war in Germany and all over the world. Our common goal is to learn from the past and work together towards world peace.

This camp focuses on the fate of the prisoners of war who were imprisoned and abused in the camp there, many of whom were from the Soviet Union and Italy. It will be a good mix of manual labour and study. At the weekend, nearby cities such as Leipzig and Dresden, but also Berlin or Prague, can be visited.
