I had already talked about my dream to go to the Galapagos, so on this adventure, I will take us through Denmark and Norway. It has been a dream of mine to go to Norway for quite some time and I have even learned a bit of the language to prepare for that. I have decided to start in Copenhagen, rent a bike, bike to Islev, and stay in a hotel for the night after exploring. I will then go to Copenhagen again in the morning and finish out everything I want to explore. 

While in Islev, I would like to find the school and house that Rita was filmed at. Rita is a popular show, internationally, filmed in Denmark in their native language, Danish. The town is quaint and there are many green spaces. It definitely does not look as advanced as it does here, there is just a different feel to the town than in the Western world.

I want to do some touristy things and I also want to experience the city like I would if I lived there. 

Experiencing the city like I live there would be easy. I would rent an air bnb rather than staying in a hotel and I would just go out for lunch, grocery shop, make a dinner at home with ingredients that I don't usually use. I would go out for the night to a bar and make some friends to keep in touch with when I got back home. 


The touristy things that I want to do are a little bit more organized.
I would definitely need to go to the design museum they have there. It showcases Danish architecture as well as art, fashion, textiles, and industrial design. I love art gallery's and museums and it would be so cool to see native art of another country. 
There is another attraction called Copenhill, which is a waste plant that converts waste into usable energy. Not only is it that but it is a massive, steep hill with a cafe at the top. 

A couple of other adventures I'd like to go on during my time in Copenhagen would be a guided boat tour with a Danish guide, the Danish museum with viking lore, the botanical gardens, and of course Nyhavn, the harbour that is alike St. Johns, Newfoundland in a lot of ways.

Of course, it you're going to Norway, you are going to want to check out a fjord. This is one of the most amazing fjords in the area, with zip lining and mountain climbing, kayaking and just amazing sight seeing opportunities. I would love to see some place like this, so it is stop 3 on my virtual vacation.

I love all things nature and this stop would just bring me so much joy. There are mountains all around the biggest viking house in the world. This is one of the prime spots to visit the realm of the vikings. 

Viking culture is really interesting to me. One time at the Royal Ontario Museum there was a viking exhibit and it was really interesting. I find, sometimes when you visit a place you can get a sense of what has happened there. The spa, The Blue Lagoon, in Iceland is a beautiful relaxation destination and it will be a great way to come back home refreshed. 

The giant pool is made of geothermal saltwater. You can swim, wade, float, there are massages that happen in the water, there are mud masks that you can do. If you get lucky, you can see the northern lights.
