The Incas empire stretched most of the way along the western side of South America. The Incas lived in the Andes and had the Amazon Rainforest on one side of them and the Gobi Desert on the other. The Amazon and The desert were natural barriers. The Inca built many roads connecting their different cities, stretching throughout the Andes. The Inca built bridges over deep valleys and drops. The Inca mainly grew potatoes (they were the first to do so), corn, and quinoa. The Inca never wasted any food, instead, they put the extra, dried, into a storehouse for when they needed it later on. Since the Inca lived in the Andes there wasn’t much flat land, so the Inca being resourceful they built terraces. Terraces were like giant flat steps used for farming.
