I graduated with a BS in Finance and I am currently pursuing my MAT in Elementary Education and I am also cross endorsing for Secondary Math (7th-12th grades). During the 2019-20 school year, I completed my internship at Shepherd Glen Elementary School, in Hamden and luckily enough, I am going back to Shepherd Glen as a Resident Intern, where I will be with a 6th grade teacher for the entire 2020-21 school year. Compared to a lot of the folks in my cohort, I would definitely say I had one of the best placements ever! One of the best things that I did was to become involved in my school community and I accomplished that through participating in after school activities, volunteering for different field trips, always being available to lend a hand before and after school, and just being an overall team player from day 1. I will say, my mentor teacher was the perfect choice because I would go to her with concerns or questions and she would always validate my thoughts and then offer me some feedback and guidance. 
The internship, plus having a full load of classes can get tough, I even did that all while holding another job outside of all of this. The important thing to do is to just plan, plan, plan. And if you are in need of help, the School of Ed faculty are super amazing and always willing to work with you, for whatever. They truly mean everything that they tell you during your interactions: being helpful for their community, being a voice for their community, and supporting their community. 

Again, welcome to Grad School at Quinnipiac and I hope to be able to see you all on campus at some point.
