Parent’s responsibility at home:

parents should integrate the usage of language they use at home to create a rich linguistic environment. for example this can be teaching them to read and write based on their surroundings such as if a child is from Southern, California, they might read or write about the ocean.

Early learning and childcare centres:

Preschool teachers can organized a more structured language activities. for example, singing songs from different languages like Bahasa Melayu, Chinese or English. besides that, preschool teachers can have story telling sessions with their students as this can help in improving their speaking skills as well as expand their vocabulary and knowledge in different languages.

Preschools:

Play based learning can help in making language learning more effective as most children would be a hands on learner where they have do do activities such as guided baking through learning the names of different tools or ingredients used to bake.

preschool in no longer seen simply as a place where children play and

have fun with their age-mates. Concerns about educational attainment of

the country's children have refocused attention on early childhood settings as

place where children also get ready for school. For those concerned with issues

presented by an increasingly diverse student population, preschool education has

become a focal point of differing views about how best to accommodate the increasing

cultural and linguistic diversity in America society and prepare children from diverse

backgrounds for school success (jipson'1991). Opinions range from those who advocate a

acculturation to mainstream educational materials and practice, including immersion in English

language, to those who support instructional approaches that have as a primary objective the

maintenance of children's home culture and language.
