Each intervention played a significant role in the overall performance and success of the students from Jane Bryan Elementary. Speaking from the prospective of an administrator, I appreciated the prioritization of being visible to students and staff throughout the day. This is often extremely difficult, but we do what we feel is most important. Regarding curricular interventions, I appreciated the implementation of 'weekly triage' in order to inform decision-making moving forward. It is a great way for all involved parties to discuss performance and methods for improving in those areas. Lastly, the idea of student-kept binders is ingenious. When students take responsibility for their performance and learning, improvement is concomitant. I was especially impressed by the stat that 26 students achieved over 100 points of growth (combined between math and reading) between 2012 and 2013. 21 students achieved between 50 to 100 points of growth.

For Example, I usually make sure my tests are put in by the time the kids leave my class on test day. 1) Real-time communication and the ability for students and parents to be part of managing their progress.
2) Push notifications and translations into 19 different languages for parents to be ablt to read teacher input.
My school needs to do something similar as the case study school because we are experiencing similar challenges. We need to get our parents and students plugged in to help with grade accountability.
