         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Goiter: When the thyroid gland is enlarged&nbsp;<br><br>&nbsp;- Diabetes Mellitus: This is when hyperglycemia is produced, causing improper use of insulin in the body. Type one and two diabetes stems from the endocrine system as well.&nbsp;<br><br>- Adenoma: Tumor of a gland; see the "Major glands bubble to know what glands can be affected from a tumor within the endocrine system.<br><br>- dwarfism: Hyposecretion of growth hormones during the early stages of life causes the body to grow improperly. This then causes the height of that person to be less than average.&nbsp;<br><br>- Acromegaly: Much like dwarfism, hyper-secretion of growth hormones flows through the bloodstream. The only difference is that this secretion happens after the body has matured. </div>]]></description>

A radiographic machine takes images at multiple angles to provide doctors with an answer for the patient concerning their endocrine glands. This CT scan is used to find tumors early on so they can be surgically removed or treated. </div>]]></description>
