They are effective tools because they would support the existing group dynamics within CSCL, and students would be e.g. more engaged to connect and discuss information they have extracted from different sources if learning with multiple sources would be integrated into this model. 
Furthermore, inquiry-based learning could also be implemented. Learners would then be supported on their path of autonomous sense making, which is the overall aim of CSCL.

I recommend  mentimeter because it is very useful for the first brainstorming in a group work and therefor helpful for CSCL.
My experience with mentimeter: when the answers are anonymous more people share their ideas with the whole group.

Google Docs (and other tools of google) could be used for group works. Students can interact with each other and see comments and solutions of peers, which they can react to. It is a good option for realtime group works because many students can work on it at the same time.

Tool 2: Social Learning Forums

I mentioned Peardeck (by Google Slides) at first, because it has several advantages in synchronous lessons. For teachers, it enable them to obtain quick response and feedbacks from their students in online education. This is amazing for communication between them in distance education. On the other side, for students, the tool makes them more active learner by participating, communication with other peers.

Secondly, I recommended social learning forums as a tool, because collaboration can be satisfied with the help of effective communication ways. I want to say Google Docs too. Because I probably used them the most. It does not have to be a course sharing. Maybe I can use it sharing photos, sharing interesting ideas... with my friends. It's very useful and easy to use it.

Desmos was basically my hero when we had to deal with emergency remote teaching last year. Students are able to discuss through the app, you can add, delete, organize or change the questions on the tasks. You can create a total new activity according to the objective of that class. The first tool would be effective for users to interact in real-time settings while also inventing or creating different learning experiences with other users. Additionally, the use of Discord would allow users to communicate and collaborate as they construct their learning through games. Since they have suggestion and comment options together with a small chat they enhance communication too.  Alsı since they saved the previous versions in the cloud you can also go back and check how others contributed to the document. So that is quite useful.

Another tool is Colab again by Google is a tool by Google Research that enables you to write python codes in browser with collaboration. You can also insert texts, images  and since it works in the cloud everything is saved therefore it is useful for  education in coding and machine learning.
