The Danes' effort to rescue Danish Jews was so successful because of the backer and how they used the funding that were gathered by the backers. The former government also had workers, like fishermen who could not risk losing pay, transport the Jews from Denmark into Sweden which was a neutral country. They also used the money to bribe German patrol boats to help transport them. Another reason as to why it was so successful was because the Germans considered the Danes as a member of the Aryan race so they didn't really think that they would do such a thing like help the Jews. So the Danes were able to work under the radar until they started to carry out the transportation.

Rob Smart
