The 2013 Carlo Carlei was realistic with the use of swords and the setting of the play is in Italy. In the 1996 version it shows an extreme close up as soon as Tybalt and Benvolio starting arguing and zooms in on the magazine of his gun and shows a Montague or Capulet crest. The Baz Luhrman version there was also alot of the camera zooming in and out alot to extreme close ups and long shots. In the 2013 version the one high angle where it has both Capulet and Montague horse riders competing trying to get the red ring. The 2013 version the camera angles are more smooth and easy to follow. But overall i still think the 1996 version is superior.

The Music in this version of Romeo and Juliet sounds more realistic from the original type of music they used in the actually play. When Romeo and Juliet dance for the first time you can see and hear Juliet's dress swishing around from it moving through the air. While in the 1996 version of Romeo and Juliet they have involved the present time so the music is more modern like it isn't at all what they played back in the original. After Romeo and Juliet get to the famous balcony scene you can hear their footsteps on the tiles next to the pool and when Romeo tries to get up and gets stuck on the vine wall. You can also hear the the water fall back on to the pool once Romeo and Juliet jump into the pool and the droplets of water hit the tiles.
