People focus too much on blaming others for problems instead of finding a solution. "At the end of the day when it comes to the health and welfare of a child or any other human being I would hope we all would be mindful of them in our prayers regardless of what we perceive to be right to wrong". We should focus o a person's safety and well being than worry about blame. This young child was over heated on a school bus and the people were blaming the bus driver for the accident who wasn't aware of the child's condition. It seems ridiculous that the parents didn't inform the bus driver. This child had gone through kemo-therapy after being diagnosed with cancer, he could not stand the intense heat of the bus. It would have been easier to take your child to and from school, that way you can keep your child safe rather than place to responsibility on a bus driver who has to watch other kids and is not informed of your child's health issues. A child's foundation page had been turned to a bashing on a bus driver. This kid has been through enough, he doesn't want his life to be a argument that no one had any control over. He was a victim but the driver isn't at fault. We can blame all we want but that doesn't matter in the end.

Gayle Scherger's article, "Sometimes, Good People Behave Badly", focuses on how easily people will turn against one another, often without knowing why. We try to blame others for our problems rather than finding a solution to them. We tend to turn against one another, usually without really knowing why. "We seem to be attracted to the dark side of life" (Scherger, 2014, 6a). What Scherger is saying is that often times we search for bad news for no reason. We seem to just naturally be attracted by bad news rather than good news. Scherger makes a great point, and we should make it a point to focus less on the bad and more on the good.

This article is all about mob mentality in today's society. The author also talks about how we as a society need to learn to hear both sides of a story fully before making judgement. In society today people always jump to conclusions, and not only do they jump to that conclusion they feel they need to protect who they perceive as the victim. Gayle Scherger noted, " At the first call of perceived injustice, hordes of people are ready to jump in with the ball bats swinging, hunting down the supposed offender, slap on the scarlet letter, wrap the noose, set fire to the stake and make the crown of thorns."(2014, Scherger, 6A). The author is showing the aggressive mentality these mobs that jump to conclusions have. Scherger is trying to tell his readers to stop jumping to people's "aid" when something happens, and to show them that we need to be fully informed of the entire situation before we begin making conclusions. We always need to make sure we know the whole story before we decide a villain of any story especially when making that uninformed assumption can cost someone their job and their livelihood.

This article discusses the tendency of people to jump to conclusions without truly knowing the whole story, especially in today's media. Author of the article, Gayle Scherger, states, "We seem to be attracted to the dark side of life. We seem to crave the bad news, the horror story" (Scherger, 2014). This statement accurately describes how the world reacts to the media today. Many people seem to gravitate toward the most awful, tragic versions of a story, even though it may not be the entire truth. There are rarely ever positive headlines on magazine covers or news stories because they want to attract the most attention from people. For some reason, people are just more drawn to stories involving tragedies. In the type of world we live in today with so much hate and violence, we should attempt to focus on more positive situations.

The newspaper article explains how human will gang up on any one accused, even if there is no true hard evidence that they did anything wrong. It is just a human reaction to jump to a conclusion and mob up against the one accused. As stated in " These keyboard rioters were clicking away their opinions based on a very small part of the story" (6A, Tiffin Ohio,Friday, Sep. 19, 2014). In this exert from the article the author shows how people jump to a conclusion and begin criticizing one another. This is where everyone just needs to slowdown and find out whats going on then they can choose if they still believe its right to criticize the accused.

When in reality these are the thing humans are naturally drawn to, the bad news. According to Gayle Scherger, "We seem to be attracted to the dark side of life. We seem to crave the bad news, the horror story" (2014, Scherger, 6A). Although the good things are nice to hear, people would much rather hear about the bad things on the news because it is more interesting and eye catching.

The argument presented in Scherger's "Sometimes, even good people behave badly" is people are attracted to drama and horror, and overreact to many events. As the author said, "We seem to crave the bad news, the horror story." (2014, Scherger Pg. 6) The author believes when bad news is told or drama is overheard we like to either insert ourselves in or our opinion long before we know anything about the story or what has truly happened. This is true of the human nature, because of ideals and the sense of entitlement today. People do crave drama, for example, soap operas and celebrities, even though soap operas are completely fake we still cling to them, and for how much information is revealed about celebrities we still don't truly know them or know what's going on in their life. Modern people crave this drama in order to make their own boring lives a little more interesting.

In the article by Gayle Scherger she talks about how a bus driver lost their job because a child that they were not aware of that had something wrong with him, come home sweating badly, even though the windows and vents on the bus were open. "We seem to be attracted to the dark side of life. We seem to crave the bad news, the horror story." (2014 Scherger) People in our communities are very much attracted to the little things that happen and make them a big deal. " It didn't need to involve humiliation, name-calling, somebody's job or worse, somebody's blood." (2014 Scherger) Therefore, after reading the article by Gayle Scherger, must people shouldn't get involved in others business and make something little into something huge. Jumping to conclusions doesn't help, people need to stop and think about what is actually happening.

In an edition of The Advertiser-Tribune, Gayle Scherger discusses society's doglike reactions to seemingly unjust situations. When negativity strikes in the world, society tends to use it to get the attention it craves so much. In her article, she states, "We are an entitled society. If we have suffered any obstacle, loss or hardship, we kick and scream for attention that we so rightly deserve" (Scherger, 2014, 6A). People in society today tend to use even the smallest challenges or unjust experiences to bring attention to themselves. Our society needs to realize that some challenges require an individual to stop and assess their situation, not "kick and scream" for people to support them on social media.

It is easy for someone to see an issue from only the group's point of view. People still react this way even if they have only heard one side of the story. Scherger and I share the same opinion of this subject as it is unreasonable to jump to conclusions and picking sides on an issue without hearing the whole story.

Whether we want to admit it or not, we are all drawn toward bad news. We can pretend that we don't want to hear it, but as humans we are curious. "The occasional feel good story is nice, but what we want to know is what's going on in the latest world-news murder trail. A heinous criminal will get well more than their 15 minutes of fame, while no one even remembers the name of the person going the extra mile to help his neighbor past the 30-second segment on the evening news" (Scherger, 2014, 6A). The stories of sadness and turmoil always get the most attention. There is some primal instinct inside of us that makes horrible stories peak our interest. Maybe we are drawn to them to make our everyday problems seem less urgent.

"What is even more sad is we create drama and unrest where it just isn't wanted." (Scherger 6A) This quote is saying that people blow things out of proportion and make things worse than they already are. The whole situation with the bus could've been way less if people wouldn't have been so dramatic about it. People made a scene just so they could get attention. We seem to crave the bad news, the horror story." People are prone to believing the worst without even knowing the full story. For example, in the article, it talks about a boy with cancer who got really hot on the bus. Everyone was eager to jump on the bus drivers case, saying she "should be charged with abuse" for letting that happen to a child. Now, the bus driver didn't break any laws and she was unaware that the child had a problem with heat. Yet everyone said that it was automatically her fault just because of an eye-catching news article they seen. Once they learned the whole story, they quickly changed opinions of what they thought of her. People should not jump to conclusions without knowing the whole thing about a situation.

Scherger goes on to talk about how the bus driver didn't know about Sam's health issue and how Sam's page on facebook prayers for Sam got turned into where people attacked the school bus driver like in the following quote "she's just a bus drive,... "Whats even more sad is we create drama and unrest where it just isn't warranted. We are entitled society."(2014,Scherger,6A) This quote affects everyone in the world. People find out the smallest information and low it up more than what it should be. They add information that isn't there is the first place to make the story worse. The example in the newspaper article is about a young boy who has cancer and a side effect was having a heat sensitivity problem While he was on the bus the bus driver had kept the heat on not knowing about his problem. When word got out people were so quick to say things like she was uneducated and should be charged with abuse. After the whole story came out and they learned that she was unaware with his heat sensitivity problem and that there was windows down to cool off the bus people were willing to make ends meet with what happened.

The article is about a kid who has cancer and a bus driver. The issue everyone has is that on a hot day, the kid who is very sensitive to heat was stuck riding the hot bus and was miserable dripping in sweat. Everyone is quick to blame the bus driver. They would say things like, "She's just a bus driver, probably uneducated." (2014, Sherger,6a).This is wrong to be shaming the bus driver all over social media without knowing the whole story or looking at the situation as a whole.

In the news paper article it talks about a child woth cancer who gets to hot riding a bus. People then started attacking the the bus driver on social media. This is not right.People should not be so quick to judge other people. They do not know the whole atory they just want to make themselves feel as if they are better than the other person who made the mistake one of the critics even went as far to say,"she's just a bus driver...probably uneducated"(2014,sherger,6a). How can any one assume that about someone when they know nothing about them. people just need to be quiet and mind there own bussiness.

This article states that even the most innocent of individuals do not always behave properly or nicely. Our interest in bad topics can sometimes get the best of us. "Yet, we are so willing to jump on a side and take our stand, long before we know the whole story." (Scherger, 2014) They are saying that people a lot of times don't wait to hear the whole story before jumping to conclusions. This is the truth, as everyday we witness people jumping on one side of a story/issue before all of the details are even released

The article begins by outlining events that support the authors claim that good people act badly when they can. It continues by explaining and the author giving their opinion on the local school bus incident. In the article the author says “At the first call of perceived injustice, hoards of people are ready to jump in with ball bats swinging”(2014, Gayle Scherger, 6A). It is a statement that is not pleasant to agree with but is ultimately true. With many controversial beliefs, ideas, and events happening in the world today, it is hard not to see examples of this.

In this article, the main topic is about how a kid with cancer has to ride a very hot school bus on the way home from school. There was a Facebook page that wanted support for the kid but it turned into the people bashing the bus driver for having the school bus too hot. One quote from the story was, : She's just a bus driver.... probably uneducated". It could of been just an honest mistake and misunderstanding, but there is no reason for everybody to attack the bus driver on social media. If you have a problem and you need to talk to the bu driver, go to him/her. Don't be causing problems with everyone on the internet taking turns bashing the driver.
