Today we visited a primary school and I saw again that children act totally different from grown ups facing " New things". They are naturally curious and have no prejudices. They just take you the way you are, in an optimistic and positive way.
Adults could learn alot from children.
They were proud using their English and succeeded being understood by us. I was impressed by their disciplined behaviour in and outside the classroom. This experience really made my day!🌞💚

Today I’ve learned how the whole Erasmus+ society works. Furthermore I’ve learned the approach of the different schools towards Erasmus+. We as Helinium are on the right path and today we’ve gotten some new ideas for our future projects. Punt and I learned(but mostly Punt) that getting stung by a Black Sea urchin hurts.

Today I learned about the schoolsystems of Estonia, Germany and France. I learned that Hilgo and Sheila worked hard on the mosaic for a local school. Rita learned that she should use better glue. I discovered that urchins are stingy and our bartender knows how to operate.

Today I learned more about the school system of Estonia, Germany and France. In addition, I have seen the mosaic work from the previous course. At the school it is striking that the classes are small compared to the classes at our school. It is nice to see other schools and students.

What I learned today: how Erasmus+ works in other countries. Rita has explained to us about the education system in Guadeloupe and that seems better than it really is. I was impressed how beautifully the children finished the mosaic project. I was moved by the open-mindedness of the children and how they tried to connect with us. In the evening we had dinner together with the entire Erasmus+ group, which was very pleasant. Some of us had a nice dance with the locals and we were able to see how they experience the Friday afternoon drink here. 😉

I‘ve learned that there are to different primary schools next to each other in Sainte-Anne, where the kids are not allowed to play with each other during the breaks. I think it is really weird and kind of sad, that the kids are seperated by a fence.

Today we talked about why internationalisation is important. It enhances the quality of education. We discussed the audition assigment of the international work of our school, but also the ones in Estonia and Germany. We have an international program at our school but I learned we can improve the on the teaching assignment and jobshadowing part. We can also add more creative activities and cross-curricular activities like they other schools already doing. At the end of the day we visited a local school where we watched my mosaic work of last year and visted a school class.

Today was a beautiful day. We have from the school in Estonia, Germany and France. It is nice to see that the schools are doing a lot of internationalization. We already do a lot in the Netherlands. But we got some new ideas from the exchange.

It was very good to see what a school looks like here in guadalope. It is very different from the Netherlands. It was very nice to see that they are happy with what they have.

Today we spoke about the audit we did and we discovered we are on the right path. We also discovered some new ideas we can work on when we are back in the Netherlands. Nice to hear the audits from the other country’s and have some new ideas from them!

I liked the Experience of the local lunch at the Food truck on the beach.

In the afternoon their was a visit at the primary school in Saint-Anne. I love the open-mindedness of childeren. They where proud to speak English (and they did very well), they where very interested. I loved to see the differences but also the likeness in the system.

I'm always very interested to see how the schools look and how the learning process goes. Schools in Estonia are very orthodox and have strict rules for pupils. Creative schools are usually private schools in Estonia. Therefore, it is always interesting to observe the teacher's work and how children behave non-verbally - are they afraid to answer, ask questions to strangers, are they smiling? I am very grateful for this experience today.
