You have a lot of interesting individual pieces and sections so what you need to do before you turn this is in find a way you can tie it all together with embroidery. Make your shapes and after about 30 minutes just poke a hole through them with your needle. Then let them dry overnight and stitching them on should be easier! Your piece looks good overall, I just want to see more stitching throughout the middle.
