2) Justice should be served towards victims who are mentally and physically abused.
3) We should stop normalizing domestic abuse among family members as this can lead to terrible mental health and trauma.
4) Being able to speak up for a victim can always make a huge change than staying silent.

For example, instead of punishing minor drug users. We should be getting them help and restoring them back to society. Youths deserve a chance to change themselves instead of further being influence with drug users or mixing with the wrong crowd if it's a first time offence.

Don't jump to conclusions. Call the authorities and bring the victim of the abuse to a safer place until authority comes.
2. After everything is settled, be aware and constantly check in on the person because a follow-up domestic issue may happen again.  
3. Residents should provide a welcoming environment, show no judgement, support the victim physically and mentally.
4. Assess the well-being of the abuser too. Advice them to go to therapy/counseling if needed and be supportive about it. This is because sometimes the abusers have underlying issues such as mental illness.
5. Spread awareness that it's not a shame to report and to get help.
6. Look into the condition of other family members (kids, parents, etc.) as they may also be affected. 
7. Easy access to counseling services in the community, promote a culture where it is okay to meet marriage counselors.

Mental health support and education is in need for the patient in combating the withdrawal symptoms that are as much 'mental' as they are physical.

Family and close friends should be offered counselling and therapy to learn how their actions may enable their loved one to succumb to drug abuse. 

And finally, exercise.
