·       TV show - gave the surname of an individual a nickname instead of using their proper name, because it was ‘too long and complicated’

·       Asian woman at work said she had a packed lunch - someone said she was going to make the entire room smell when heating up her lunch, but it was cheese pasta – racialised assumption  

·       Confusing two people of the same race who look nothing alike 

·       Where are you ACTUALLY from- assuming immigrant status, even though they’ve lived in the country for generations 

·       Cultural invalidation - “you’re basically white”, because they engage in Western culture, such as drinking alcohol

·       International student accommodation - sitting around a table and all from different backgrounds/ cultures – biased sample but shows huge diversity of cultures

·       Supermarkets having different types of foods in the food aisles

·       Schools acknowledging different religious festivals - Diwali (Hinduism) and Eid (Islam)
