Veena's Biology class definitely has a relaxed-yet structured vibe that makes the kids feel comfortable but also makes them aware of the work they are expected to finish in class. I was super impressed at how Veena was able to balance these two different needs. Great job!

She obviously has a great relationship with the students, and is able to maintain a positive and productive environment. I was especially impressed with her patience in responding to questions and redirecting students when necessary, good sense of humor, and efforts to provide well thought out science activities that were clearly directed to also encourage the development of English reading, writing and vocabulary skills! It was fun to watch many of my own students in a completely different class, and I definitely have ideas to take back- thanks for letting me visit!

The learning environment of a democratic, free speaking classroom comes across in her thoughtful teaching and the comfort level her students have in expressing themselves. It was nice to witness the students have fun in a Quizlet Live activity which helped bring their learning together. I learned a lot. Thanks!

Mich does an INCREDIBLE JOB of differentiating activities for her World Studies students! The thoughtfulness and effort that goes into her lessons is amazing! She obviously cares about each student's learning of the material, and she holds each student accountable. Even more, she pushes them to challenge themselves. Great job, Mich!

Stephanie’s rapport with the students and emphasis on language learning was excellent.
