I'm a second year straight Psychology student.

I live in Brayford Quays and I'm in the Psychology society and Disney society.

I'm mad about horse-riding, Disney films and have a slight obsession with pugs which you totally couldn't tell... Anyways I loved my freshers week and hope alll you guys enjoy it too. Without getting lost. Thats why I'm here :) Please say a bit about yourselves, your idea of a perfect freshers week etc by double clicking next to this post :)

I hope you guys are ready for some serious competitive exploring! I'll be taking you guys all around uni and Lincoln, finding the best places for work or to hang out. I'm going to try to take you guys to all the places that are very cheap and kind to students bank accounts. I'll post over here any more offers/bargains when I find them. Maybe you guys could do the same when you come across a good offer I may have missed?

After freshers week, the degree will kick in. There'll be lectures, books, seminars, books, books... There'll be a lot of free time still for socialising with the friends that you made throughout freshers, so its nothing to be scared of. Having said that, if you have any worries about lectures, which book to get and so on ask them here and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Psychology!

For Hannah's benefit, I thought I'd post a bit more about the nature of psychology. So basically there are all these different approaches to things; obviously biology looks at genetics and neurotransmitters etc., cognitive deals with our thinking paradigms and how those go faulty, behavioural looks at learning and conditioning, developmental is kids, and psychodynamic is Freud- not to do a Freudian slip, but he doesn't come up much this year! As Garry said though, the degree is less about regurgitating facts and more about evaluating theories and studies. You should learn how to do this in personal tutorial and themes, issues ad debates plus all these seminar stuff in the first year.

Finally thought to upload this guys :) Have to say my technology skills never cease to amaze me- I think Hannah had a good idea with opting out lol! (AAD behind us- we did tour Lincoln campus I swear!)
