Jazz actually invented the drum set that we use today in different bands, at home, and many other things. Over the course of many years Jazz became very popular, artist such as Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and many more were such great Jazz artist. 
"Louis Armstrong was Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on August 4, 1901. he started playing the cornet at the age of 13 and was well known for his solo playing.

- The saxophone was invented by Antoine-Joseph (Adolphe) Sax.
- The tenor saxophone is commonly used in jazz musicians.
* Trumpet
- The trumpet has always been the “lead” instrument in both New Orleans and Chicago styles of traditional jazz playing. It is the instrument that carries the melody of most tunes.
* Clarinets
- Pete Fountain was a very good and influential clarinet player in jazz music.
* Drum Kits
The drum set is an key part of any jazz rhythm section; it includes the bass drum, snare drum and cymbals, and many others.
* Upright Basses
- The bass is used in a range of other genres, such as jazz, 1950s-style blues, Rock and Roll, and many more. 
* Bass Guitar
- Players began using the double bass in jazz in the 1890s to use the low-pitched sounds. This outlined the chord progressions of the songs.
* Flutes
- The flute became official as a jazz instrument in the 1950s. It is now mostly used in ensembles and by soloists
* Jazz Piano
- The piano  is one of the most popular keyboard instruments for both children and adults.
* Electric Guitar
- Made in the early 1930s, the electric guitar became a essential instrument as jazz musicians sought to louden or magnify their sound to be heard over loud big bands.
