I had the pleasure of getting to work with the Showroom consultant company “otherwise”. The company focused on showing high-end designer companies with up and coming designers. All the brands exceptionally demonstrated modern trends that will be discussed in this padlet.

Magliano Deconstruction

Magliano is it up and coming high-end Italian designer based out of Milan. One major theme of his recent collection was the idea of deconstructionism. The term deconstruction means “garments on a runway that are unfinished, coming apart, recycled, transparent or grunge".

H&M Deconstruction

In 2015 H&M launched an awesome collection which won the Design Award Stockholm Fall. It's really interesting to see fast fashion companies designing pieces that look like Mason Margiela or Rick Owens.

SHINYAKOZUKA- Collaborations

SHINYA KOZUKA is a new designer brand based out of Tokyo. There focused on exploring expression and individuality with emphasis on extreme quality and functionality. They love at least one collaboration per collection in this one was with dickies.

Zara X Everlast

In 2021 fast fashion brand Zara did a collaboration with the famous sportswear brand Everlast. The collection is full of hoodies and crewnecks, but also of unexpected items such as a shirt and a raincoats.

Nullus- Knitwear

The term "NULLUS" originates in Latin and means "nothing." The founders intended to keep the brand's name as simple as possible and place the emphasis on the garments themselves. The design language of NULLUS is defined by the omitted fabric introverted and concealed design features and a comfortable and tranquil wearing experience. This recent collection focused heavily on classic knitwear which will be a huge trend in 2024.

Shein- knitwear

Shein is a fast fashion brand that focuses on copying the most popular trends. When going through there website it is currently filled with classic knitwear.
