In my vacations I was in my house the half part of the time and in my aunt's house because I was working with she, selling swimwear. In my house I did some things like clean, cook and read. This vacation wasn’t exciting at all, honestly. While many people were traveling or hanging out with friends, I was staying in my room and studying for the ICFES almost every day. I woke up late, but after breakfast, I started watching math videos or practicing reading exercises. My cousins were posting pictures from Cartagena, and I was underlining texts and trying to understand percentages. Sometimes, while I was studying, my neighbors were playing loud music or having barbecues. On some days, I felt really productive, but on others, I just looked at my notebook without learning anything. One day, while I was finishing a practice test, the power went out. I had to keep studying with candles like in a movie. It wasn’t fun, but I hope all the effort helps me get a good score.

Last Friday, I celebrated my birthday with my family. While I was getting ready, my mom was baking a delicious caramel cake, My friends arrived around 2pm and brought me gifts. While we played music and sang, my grandfather took lots of pictures. I felt happy because we were all together. We ate hamburgers, drank soda, and danced until nightfall. My best friend gave me a frame full of photos of us. While I blew out the candles, everyone sang ´´Happy Birthday´´. It was a very special day. I went to sleep feeling very grateful.
