One stays and continues helping out their dad and the other runs off and spends all of his share. When he becomes poor, he works at a field and lives off the pig food. Then, he realizes that he should go back to his father and apologize. On his way there, he is seen by his father and his father welcomed him back with open arms. He tells his slaves to kill the fattest calf so they could celebrate his return. Meanwhile, the older brother is upset because he stayed and did the right thing and did not get anything as a reward. His father tells him that he should focus on celebrating his brothers return.
