in the Soviet union/Russia they did not hold Christmas much, but now they hold it each January 7th.

they decorate theirs Christmas tree just like the most of us in Denmark do. with Christmas balls and light chains and a star at the top. some people also put balloons on.

they have Ded moroz(Santa Claus) and elf's around there houses but they also have babushka dolls which is right there.

they have candles and green, white and red light chains. they also have Christmas stockings. they also have a candle whit numbers counting down they days until Christmas Eve

for Christmas they eat soup, pickled foods and appetizers, Sochivo, fish (if its allowed). beans/legumes/vegetables. cereals/grains/dumplings. breads.bobal'ki/loksa/pagach. vzvar and other Desserts and they drink beverages

the Santa Claus is called Ded moroz. they have 2 santantas, they have babushka and ded moroz. before ded moroz was in Russia the Santa wall called saint Nicolas.

In Russia u dont say happy Christmas u say rah-zh-dee-st-VOHM. they dont hold advent.
