They also adapt by growing their roots in the ground. Lastly, their leaves cope with the high rainfall.

The first animal I'm going to describe is the ocelot. Ocelots are one of my favorite pets, so it was super fun getting to research it! They learn to survive in the wild with their great hearing to hunt rabbits, iguanas, fish, frogs, etc. They also have large eyes with binocular vision and good night vision, which is adapted for hunting. Ocelots do not avoid water like most cats, they love the water, which makes it easier for the ocelot to drink and hunt for fish.

Next, is the orangutan. Their super long arms and legs make it easy for it to climb up trees and get food. Also, sometimes, they use sticks to attract termites and bugs so they can eat them. Lastly, the orangutan uses large leaves to protect themselves from all of the rainfall.

The last animal I'm going to be talking about is the jaguar, which is also Jurupa Valley High School's mascot! Jaguars have jaws and a large head equipped for the skull of their prey with their canines. Jaguars are extremely good swimmers which is good because of all of the rain and floods in the rainforest. Lastly, the spots on the jaguar help the jaguar camouflage.

Another problem is the pollution in the air, which also harms animals and wildlife. One other thing that effects the rainforest is people building dams.
